Doula Support in Cambridgeshire

Personalised support for pregnancy, birth, and postpartum — including VBAC and neurodivergent-friendly care

Supporting families across Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire & Northamptonshire

What support can look like

There isn’t a single “right” way to prepare for birth.
And there isn’t a standard package that works for everyone.

So instead of offering fixed options, I offer personalised doula support in Cambridgeshire and surrounding areas shaped around you, your needs, your preferences, and your circumstances.

Here’s a gentle idea of what working together often includes:

Pregnancy support

We’ll spend time together during pregnancy, usually in person, so I can really understand what matters to you and how best to support you.

This can include:

• Preparing for antenatal appointments within the NHS
• Talking through your options for birth, including VBAC (vaginal birth after caesarean)
• Birth preferences and planning
• Space to process thoughts, questions, and decisions

This is about helping you feel more informed, more prepared, and less overwhelmed

Birth support

As your doula, I’ll be on call as your due time approaches so when labour begins, you know you have someone ready to support you.

During labour, I offer continuous, calm support, which might look like:

• Grounding and reassurance
• Helping you stay focused on what matters to you
• Supporting your partner so they can support you
• Holding steady, consistent space throughout your birth

This is about you feeling supported, whatever direction your birth takes.

Postnatal support

After your baby arrives, we’ll have time to reconnect and reflect.

This can include:

• Talking through your birth experience
• Emotional support in the early days
• Gentle, practical support as you adjust to life with your baby

Preparation that feels calm, not overwhelming

We’ll also spend time preparing in a way that works for you.

This might include:

• Support navigating antenatal care and decision-making
• Breaking down information so it feels clear and manageable
• Creating birth and postnatal plans (if you want them)
• A bespoke hypnobirthing-style relaxation script tailored to you (if we begin working together earlier in pregnancy)

Everything is done at your pace — with space to pause, process, and come back to things.

Ongoing support throughout

You won’t be left wondering between sessions.

I offer ongoing support throughout your pregnancy via message, email or voice note so when something comes up, you don’t have to hold it on your own.

What this really means

You have someone who:

• Knows your story
• Understands how you process information
• Supports you through antenatal appointments and decisions
• Is there before, during, and after your birth

A note on flexibility

Every family I work with is different.

Some people need more support around antenatal appointments.
Some want more birth preparation.
Some need more emotional support.

So we’ll shape your doula support around what you actually need, not what a package says you should need.

Investment

Because all support is personalised, there isn’t a fixed price.

Most families I support in Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, and Northamptonshire invest somewhere in the region of:

£800 – £1500

(depending on the level of support needed)

I’m always happy to have an open, honest conversation about what might feel manageable for you.

Your next step

You don’t need to have everything figured out.

If you’re looking for doula support in Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, or Northamptonshire, I’d love to hear from you.
